KTSM News – CVS Pharmacy in West El Paso to shut down in November

Posted on October 14, 2025

EL PASO, Texas (KTSM) — The CVS Pharmacy at 8041 N. Mesa Street in West El Paso will be closing this November, the pharmacy confirmed to KTSM 9 News in a statement.

The pharmacy says it’s closing on Nov. 20 and all prescriptions will be transferred to the nearby CVS Pharmacy at 680 E. Red Road.

Employees are being offered comparable roles within the company, the pharmacy said.

“Maintaining access to pharmacy services in the communities we serve is an important factor we consider when making store closure decisions. Other factors include local market dynamics, population shifts, a community’s store density, and ensuring there are other geographic access points to meet the needs of the community.”

“We’ll continue to provide the community with outstanding service at our eleven remaining CVS Pharmacy locations in El Paso. We also offer several delivery options for customers and patients with eligible prescriptions, including 1-2-day delivery and on-demand (same-day) delivery (within three hours), through CVS.com and the CVS Health app to provide additional convenient access to household essentials, health and wellness products, and prescription medications.”
