EL PASO, Texas (KTSM) — The Paso Del Norte (PDN) Children’s has opened its second location with a new Development Center in East El Paso and is ready to provide needed services to children in the community.
Adriana LoPiccolo, the interim COO for PDN Children’s, said the new Development Center facility opened in September but officially welcomed children in February.

“We take children with any diagnosis and special needs, we are able to serve them, we don’t turn away,” LoPiccolo said. “We received up to 80 kids in this facility (East El Paso facility), and thanks to Marathon, we will be able to open the doors for this building. We also brought with us programs such as ABA, which is Applied Behavior Analysis, this is especially designed for children with the diagnosis of autism, from three years of age till 15-21.”
The facility houses PDN Children’s newest Inclusive Early Learning Center, as well as a Pediatric Therapy Clinic. Additionally, PDN Children’s says the opening of the new facility wouldn’t have happened without the sponsorship from Marathon.
“It’s great. Without Marathon, we wouldn’t be able to build this facility and train our staff. So, sponsors like that mean the world to us because we wouldn’t have been able to do what we could of. We’ve been waiting for this, we’ve planned this for a long time, but with their help (Marathon), we were able to actually make this possible,” LoPiccolo said.
