EL PASO, Texas (KTSM) — Two separate car crashes left El Paso Electric customers without power on Friday morning, Dec. 1, according to an El Paso Electric spokesperson.
The first crash was reported in Las Cruces just after 11 p.m. on Thursday night, leaving 3,200 customers without power after an electric pole was hit at Locust and Boston.
The spokesperson says power was restored to 2,470 customers just after 1:30 a.m. Friday morning.
Power will be restored to the remaining 50 customers within the hour, according to the spokesperson.
The second crash was reported at 1:37 a.m. Friday morning after a vehicle crash on Gateway East and Burgundy in far East El Paso, leaving 2,370 customers without power.
The spokesperson says power was restored at 1:50 a.m. Friday, with one customer currently without power.
The spokesperson says the electric pole will have to be replaced before power is restored to that one customer.
