KTSM News – Las Cruces Utilities to temporarily close for safety event

EL PASO, Texas (KTSM) — Las Cruces Utilities (LCU) will temporarily close for business on Thursday for departmental safety and team building event. the City of Las Cruces announced in a news release.

The temporary closure will take place from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Oct. 30 at all LCU offices:

  • City Hall location, 700 N. Main St.
  • East Mesa location, 5195 Bataan Memorial West #2
  • LCU Office Center, 680 N. Motel Blvd.

The temporary closure will also take place from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. the same day at the following location:

  • Green Waste, Compost, and Clean Fill services, 555 S. Sonoma Ranch Blvd. (services will resume from 2 – 4 p.m.)

Utilities – gas and water – payments can still be made in-person at the cashiers’ counter on the first floor of City Hall, according to the news release.

Customers are asked to conduct business for utility hookups, disconnections, etc., earlier in the week or after 3 p.m. on Thursday to allow for this temporary closure.
