EL PASO, Texas (KTSM) — No arrests have been made after two people were hurt in a shooting on Wednesday, Oct. 29, in Las Cruces, according to the Las Cruces Police Department.
Shortly after 11 p.m. on Oct. 29, police were dispatched to the 1900 block of North Main Street about two pedestrians who were struck by gunfire as they crossed the road.
Police and fire personnel arrived on scene to find a 36-year-old woman and a 25-year-old man who were struck by gunfire. They were both transported with what is believed to be “non-life-threatening” injuries, according to LCPD.
According to LCPD, investigators learned that two men, one believed to be the shooter, fled east along a pathway that parallels a drainage ditch. After police searched the area, they were unable to locate them.
One of the suspects is described as a short Hispanic man. The other suspect is described as a tall and skinny Hispanic man.
