EL PASO, Texas (KTSM) – The Knights of Columbus 12160 Chapter has partnered with Charlie Clark Nissan El Paso and the Canutillo Independent School District to provide coats to over 100 displaced children from the Canutillo area on Friday, December 1st, 2023.
The three entities involved have taken the cause further and agreed to coordinate an outing for the kids receiving the jackets. Charlie Clark Nissan will host the fun outing for the kids, including arts and crafts, dancing, food, games, pictures with Santa, and the receiving of their coats.
“We are very excited to come together as a community and be able to do this for our kids in a way that is not just about the coats but also allows them to have a day full of interactive fun and holiday celebration as well,” said Dr. Monica Reyes, Executive Director of Student Support Services for Canutillo ISD.
“It is our honor to host and support a great cause like this. We are all about giving back to our community, especially when it involves children,” added Martin Rocha, Marketing Director for Charlie Clark Nissan El Paso.
Busses are scheduled to arrive at the dealership at 9:50 a.m., located at 6451 S. Desert Blvd, El Paso, TX 79932. During their visit, children will also enjoy several activities, including working on arts and crafts, engaging in physical activities such as jumping balloons, and enjoying pizza provided by Little Caesars.
“Our Knights of Columbus chapter has been fortunate to have the support from the community on this event for years now. We do this wholeheartedly and can’t do what we do without their support. Thank you, everyone!” concluded Mike Doblado, a long-time member of the Knights of Columbus.
