EL PASO, Texas (KTSM) — Two men and a 14-year-old were arrested on Friday, Oct. 31, in Juarez, after allegedly driving a pickup truck disguised as a police vehicle and carrying a firearm, according to state authorities.


The suspects, identified as Luis Angel A. R., 28; Kevin Alejandro M.H., 19; and a 14-year-old minor identified by the initials M.A.C.A., were stopped by officers near Heroes de Nacozari and Gabino Barrera streets in the Barrio Alto area. They were traveling in a white 2019 Dodge RAM pickup truck with no license plates and emergency-style lights similar to those used on official police vehicles. The truck was seized for further investigation, according to authorities.
Officers also seized a black Ruger P95 DC pistol loaded with 12 live 9mm rounds, and a cellphone.
According to the Chihuahua State Attorney General’s Office, the suspects allegedly claimed to be members of the criminal group “La Linea.” However, this is not confirmed, and authorities are investigating their possible involvement in other recent crimes in the area.
The three suspects remain in custody and were placed under the jurisdiction of the State Public Prosecutor’s Office.
In addition, these arrests were part of a joint operation involving the Mexican army, National Guard, and the State Investigation Agency, according to authorities.
