KTSM News – Quintana leading in Vinton mayor race after early voting

EL PASO, Texas (KTSM) — Current Vinton Mayor Rachel Quintana is leading in her bid for re-election after early voting results were released at 7 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 4.

Quintana is in a three-person race vs. two former mayors.

Samuel “Sam” Monrreal

Quintana has 39.02 percent (48 votes), followed by Juvencia Rios Ontiveros with 35.77 percent (44 votes) and Samuel “Sam” Monrreal with 25.20 percent (31).

It is unclear if Vinton will have a runoff if they do not have mayoral candidate who gets a majority of the votes. We working to learn if there would be a runoff in that scenario.
