EL PASO, Texas (KTSM) — Six seniors from Harmony Public Schools in El Paso have been named finalists for the QuestBridge National College Match, a competitive program that connects high-achieving students from low-income backgrounds with full four-year scholarships to the nation’s leading universities.

Jasmine, Cathryn, Emma, and Camila represent Harmony Science Academy, and Sarah and Gael represent Harmony School of Innovation, according to the charter schools in a news release..
“Being named a QuestBridge finalist is an extraordinary achievement that opens doors to life-changing college opportunities,” Dani Marquez, Harmony Public Schools director of communications, said.
QuestBridge finalists are selected from a nationwide pool of applicants who demonstrate exceptional academic achievement, leadership, and community involvement while overcoming financial challenges, according to the news release.

Each finalist will proceed to the next step of the process, leading up to potential Match Day on December 1, when QuestBridge will announce scholarship recipients and their partner college matches.
“Harmony Public Schools’ growing success with QuestBridge highlights its ongoing commitment to college readiness and equity in education. Last year, twenty Harmony seniors were matched with top-tier universities, marking a record year for the district,” read the news release.
