EL PASO, Texas (KTSM) — A 23-year-old man was arrested on nine felony warrants, all involving sex crimes against children, on Thursday, Nov. 6, in Horizon City, according to the El Paso County Constable’s Office for Precinct 6.
Rene Israel Garcia, 23, was arrested on the following nine outstanding felony warrants:
- Four counts of sexual assault of a child in the second degree, each with a $10,000 bond
- Three counts of sexual perfom child employ induce/authorize in the second degree, each with a $10,00 bond
- Two counts of possession of child pornography in the first degree, each with a $10,000 bond
Garcia was booked into the El Paso County Detention Facility with a total bond of $90,000.
At around 10:30 a.m. on Thursday, a deputy constable was dispatched to the 14000 block of Peter Noyes to attempt to locate Garcia.
The deputy constable, with assistance from a deputy with the El Paso County Sheriff’s Office, was able to make contact with Garcia and took him into custody, according to the Constable’s Office.
According to the Constable’s Office, the nine warrants were confirmed with the Sheriff’s Office Communications Section. Garcia was taken before a jail magistrate, where he was advised of the magistrate’s warnings regarding all his outstanding warrants.
