El Paso voters are reporting problems as they showed up to the polls Tuesday morning, but election officials said votes can still be cast.
“The voting machines are operating correctly,” County Elections Administrator Lisa Wise said. “Some locations are having issues with their poll pads (used to check in voters). Voters are still able to be processed. They need to check in manually at these locations and that is taking extra time. We are working with our vendor to get all of the poll pads operational as soon as possible.”
Some voters said poll workers at some locations seemed unfamiliar with the manual check-in process.
This is a developing story and will be updated.
