Texas politicians have a rich history of expressing their creativity by promoting their campaigns in baffling ways. Consider Dan Crenshaw’s Texas Reloaded series, whose first entry, in 2020, cast the congressman (who was ousted in his primary in March, alas) as a Nick Fury–type superspy assembling a crew of GOP Avengers to defeat the dastardly forces of Democratic politicians. In a second installment, called Georgia Reloaded and released in advance of that state’s 2020 Senate runoff election, he leaped out of a plane and busted up a car carrying “so-called anti-fascists” with his bare hands.
