EL PASO, Texas (KTSM) — Four people are in critical condition after a shooting that happened outside El Paso Police Headquarters Wednesday afternoon.
El Paso police spokesman Adrian Cisneros told reporters that two women and two men who were shot were taken to a hospital.
All four people where described as Hispanic. Their identities were not provided during the briefing at the scene.
No suspect(s) are in custody.
Around 1:21 p.m. police officers inside police headquarters responded to the shooting in the 1000 block of Raynor Street in central El Paso.
The investigation is in its early stages noted Cisneros who didn’t disclose details to reporters.
El Paso Police Chief Peter Pacillas was seen in the area blocked off by crime tape alongside investigators.
The east and westbound lanes of Montana Avenue at Raynor Street remained blocked off.
KTSM crews on the scene saw vehicles that had bullet holes. Cisneros said two vehicles at the scene are believed to be involved in the shooting.
“This is the place where the shooting occurred and it has nothing to do with with anything else,” Cisneros told reporters asking if police were involved in the shooting.
If anyone has information about the shooting, they’re asked to call police.
