EL PASO, Texas (KTSM) — Five people were rescued out of a storm drain on Friday in South-Central El Paso, an El Paso Fire Department spokesperson said.
Fire crews were called out to the 3600 block of East Paisano Drive, just east of the Bridge of the Americas, for a “special rescue” operation.

The Fire Department had received reports of “individuals in need of assistance” who were reportedly in the sewer system.
Crews were able to locate the people in need of rescue and assisted them out of the storm drain. All five cleared their on-scene medical checks. There were no transports.
The scene was turned over to Border Patrol.
