Posted on February 7, 2025

BROWNSVILLE, Texas (ValleyCentral) — A local artist is responding to the vandalism of his Elon Musk mural.

The mural was vandalized in downtown Brownsville with the words “Deny, Defend, Depose” which are connected to the UnitedHealthcare CEO assassination and suspected gunman Luigi Mangioni.

Local mural artist Alex Andro, also known as Pop Culture, took to social media to show him touching up the vandalized mural.

“Art is about creation, not destruction. When this mural was vandalized, I saw an opportunity — not to erase, but to transform,” Andro announced on social media.

The vandalism was covered up and now shows a name tag saying “Luigi M” and the UnitedHealthcare logo beside it.

“Deny destruction. Defend creativity. Depose hate,” Andro continued.
