EL PASO, Texas (Border Report) — California Attorney General Rob Bonta recently called efforts to send National Guard troops from California to Oregon “well outside of the norms or practices” of any president.”
President Donald Trump began mobilizing California troops early Sunday, a day after federal judge blocked him from using Oregon’s National Guard.
Late Sunday, the judge temporarily blocked the Trump administration from deploying any National Guard units to Oregon at all.
In this episode (2:30 p.m. CDT Friday) of Border Report Live, Bonta joins host Rudy Mireles and California correspondent Salvador Rivera to discuss the legal challenges and the judges decision to temporarily block the deployment in Oregon.
Bonta has also filed a lawsuit against the City of El Cajon, accusing its police department of repeatedly violating state law by sharing automated license plate reader (ALPR) data with law enforcement agencies in more than two dozen states.
