EL PASO, Texas (KTSM) — A businessman from Chihuahua, Mexico, and husband of Chihuahua Gov. María Eugenia Campos, Victor Cruz Russek, died on Sunday, Oct. 5, after a tough battle with cancer, according to KTSM’s crews in Juarez.
The 75-year-old businessman suffered a pulmonary complication caused by the cancer.
The president of Mexico, Claudia Sheinbaum, offered her condolences during Monday morning’s press conference after a reporter asked if she had more information about it.
“I was going to talk to her (Campos) today. I didn’t have a chance yesterday, but I will be talking to her today. Our condolences to the governor,” Sheinbaum said.
