EL PASO, Texas (Border Report) – High winds reportedly knocked down a billboard outside a supermarket in Juarez, Mexico, on Thursday night, sending a woman and her daughter to the hospital.
Security camera video obtained by Border Report news partner ProVideo shows the moment the billboard breaks off from its supports in a parking lot in the vicinity of the Smart in the Anapra neighborhood of northwestern Juarez.
A second video taken by a witness shows more than a dozen people holding up what’s left of the billboard so the woman trapped inside could be rescued. The video shows an overturned table the woman was using to sell pastries, according to witnesses.
The woman’s school-aged daughter was hurt by the debris, according to witnesses. Both were taken to a hospital in Juarez and were released on Friday, authorities said.
The incident remains under investigation by the Juarez Civil Protection office.
