EL PASO, Texas (Border Report) — A Border Patrol dog alerted agents to a migrant hidden inside a suitcase, the head of the Del Rio Sector announced on Thursday.
Del Rio Sector Chief Patrol Agent Rober Danley said the discovery happened at a checkpoint south of Eagle Pass, Texas.
The drug-sniffing dog alerted agents to a passenger van and then a suitcase, where the agent found an undocumented immigrant.
Photos shared by Danley show what appears to be a young male crouched inside the suitcase.
