EL PASO, Texas (KTSM) – The University of Texas at El Paso (UTEP) confirmed on Wednesday, April 9, that 10 of its international students had their visas revoked this week.
“We became aware of the visa terminations through status changes in the Department of Homeland Security’s Student and Exchange Visitor Program database,” read part of the statement sent by the university.
The university said they have not received any official notification from DHS about these visas’ terminations.
“We are looking at each case individually and we will provide appropriate assistance to students as appropriate,” UTEP said.
