Easter celebrations are set to take place across El Paso and surrounding communities this week, with a wide range of parades, egg hunts and family-focused events planned for residents of all ages.

Here’s a roundup of Easter events taking place throughout the Borderland, with activities ranging from long-running community traditions in Northeast El Paso to citywide recreation center celebrations and neighborhood gatherings. Many events are free and open to the public, offering opportunities for families to take part in seasonal festivities throughout the week.

Parades/events

Mimbela Family NorthEaster Parade

The annual NorthEaster Parade will return to Northeast El Paso with a community Easter celebration featuring floats, performances and family-friendly activities. This will mark the parade’s 48th year and coincide with an “America 250” theme recognizing the nation’s semiquincentennial.

  • Where: Parade begins at Diana Drive and Hercules Avenue, continues north on Diana and east on Hondo Pass Drive, ending at Nations Tobin Park, 8831 Railroad Drive.

La Nube Eggstravaganza 

La Nube will host a seasonal Eggstravaganza for members, offering a family-focused event with themed activities, including photos with Peter Rabbit, egg giveaways for children and interactive experiences designed for young visitors.

EggstravaganZoo

The El Paso Zoo will host its annual spring event featuring candy stations, family activities and live entertainment in a setting designed to combine seasonal festivities with animal education. Visitors can explore the zoo while learning from education specialists, including presentations featuring domestic rabbits.

Lucha League Wrestling: Easter Lucha

Lucha League Wrestling will present a family-friendly Easter-themed event featuring live lucha libre matches, the debut of a new character, and activities for children. The event will also include a community drive encouraging attendees to donate new socks for local families.

A family-friendly Easter celebration at Biggs Park will feature egg hunts, photos with the Easter Bunny and a range of activities including inflatables, yard games, dance performances and fitness sessions. Egg hunts are scheduled for noon and 2 p.m., with additional programming throughout the day.

Horizon City Police Department Easter Egg Hunt

The Horizon City Police Department will host its annual Easter Egg Hunt at Town Center Park, featuring egg hunts, candy, food trucks and vendors in a family-friendly setting.

City of Socorro Easter Eggstravaganza & Color Run

The free family event features rides, games, activities, food trucks, vendors and an Easter egg hunt. The event includes a color fun walk and run. Pets welcome. The egg hunt begins at 11:30 a.m. Bring your own basket. Participants will be separated by age groups.

  • When: Race line up at 7:30 a.m.; race starts 8 a.m.; festivities start 9 a.m., Saturday, April 4

Purple Up Easter Egg Hunt
