El Paso County voters will cast ballots today, Tuesday, March 3, in the Democratic and Republican primary elections that will determine which candidates advance to the November general election.
Polls are open from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m., and voters may cast a ballot at any Election Day polling location in the county.
Results will begin posting after polls close at 7 p.m. MT. El Paso Matters will update results throughout the evening as vote tallies are released by the El Paso County Elections Department.
What’s on the ballot
At the local level, voters will select party candidates for El Paso County judge, two county commissioner seats, justices of the peace and a slew of judgeships, including for district courts, county courts at law, county criminal courts and county probate courts.
On the federal and state levels, ballots will include candidates for U.S. representatives and state representatives.
Candidates who receive more than 50% of the vote will advance to the November general election. If no candidate earns a majority in races with three or more contenders, the top two vote-getters will advance to a May 26 runoff.
