La Nube’s STEAMING Good Tea Party
Young explorers and their guardians can enjoy an afternoon of tea, treats and hands-on learning at La Nube’s STEAMing Good Tea Party from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 9, at the STEAM Discovery Center, 201 W. Main Drive. The event, designed for children ages 5-12, combines a tea party with interactive STEAM activities, a special guest speaker and a playful etiquette lesson. Participants are encouraged to dress in their best tea party attire. Tickets, which include all-day museum access, are $30 for adults and $25 for children. Space is limited. Information: la-nube.org

Castner Range 101
Explore the beauty of Castner Range, El Paso’s newest national monument, during the Castner Range 101 program from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 8, at the El Paso Museum of Archaeology, 4301 Woodrow Bean Transmountain Drive. Hosted by The Frontera Land Alliance and the El Paso Museum of Archaeology, the day features guided hikes at 10:30 a.m. and 11:30 a.m., a watercolor activity from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., and a scavenger hunt throughout the event. No reservations needed.

Lantern-Lit Prospect Mine Tour
Explore a piece of El Paso’s mining history with the Lantern-Lit Prospect Mine Tour at 8:30 a.m. Sunday, Feb. 9, at Franklin Mountains State Park. Guided by a park ranger in period attire, participants will navigate an old copper prospecting mine by lantern light, offering a glimpse into the region’s mining past. The tour begins at the West Cottonwood Springs Trailhead in the Tom Mays Unit of the park, 2900 Tom Mays Park Access Road. Due to space constraints, only 15 participants are allowed, and reservations are required. Admission is $8 for adults, with discounts available for Texas State Park Pass holders and children. BLACK HISTORY MONTH EVENTS
Black History Tour
The McCall Neighborhood Center, 3231 Wyoming Ave., will host its Second Annual Black History Tour on Saturday, Feb. 8, offering an immersive look into the rich history and contributions of the Black community in El Paso. The guided tours, scheduled for 8:30 a.m., 9 a.m., 11:30 a.m. and 2 p.m., will provide attendees with a deeper understanding of local and national Black heritage. Black History Month Storytime Events
El Paso Public Libraries, in partnership with the NAACP El Paso Branch, will host a series of Storytime events throughout February in celebration of Black History Month. The events aim to highlight the cultural and historical contributions of Black communities and foster inclusivity through storytelling. The programs are part of the city’s efforts to showcase El Paso’s diverse cultural heritage.

El Paso Black Arts Association Showcase
The El Paso Black Arts Association will host its first art showcase and fundraiser from noon to 5 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 6, at the International Museum of Art, 1211 Montana Ave. The event highlights the creativity of Black artists in the region, featuring works on display from Feb. 1 through Feb. 22. Admission is free.

New art exhibits: The El Paso Museum of Art, 1 Arts Festival Plaza, will debut two exhibitions Saturday, Feb. 15, showcasing the artistic legacies of Tom Lea and Judithe Hernández. “Tom Lea and Contemporaries” explores the work of the celebrated 20th-century muralist alongside pieces from his creative circle, including Manuel Acosta, Lois Denton and Peter Hurd. “Judithe Hernández / Beyond Myself, Somewhere, I Wait for My Arrival” presents a retrospective of the Los Four collective co-founder, featuring over 80 works that examine Xicano culture and the U.S.-Mexico border. Both exhibitions open with a reception from 3 to 5 p.m. Feb. 15.
After Hours at La Nube: La Nube is offering a Valentine’s Day alternative for those looking to mix science with socializing. The interactive museum will host an age 21-and-older event from 6 to 9 p.m. Friday, Feb. 14, featuring hands-on exhibits, live music, complimentary adult drinks and snacks. Whether attending with a partner or solo, guests can explore the exhibits while enjoying an atmosphere designed for connection and discovery. Tickets are $45 for general admission and $40 for La Nube members, with no sales available at the door. Information: la-nube.org
El Paso Home & Garden Show: The 24th annual El Paso Home & Garden Show returns Feb. 14-16 to the El Paso Convention Center, 1 Civic Center Plaza, offering home improvement solutions, expert advice and family-friendly activities — all with free admission. Attendees can explore kitchen and bath remodeling ideas, solar energy options and landscaping solutions, as well as shop for unique gifts and home decor.
