Anyone who has been around the game of baseball knows that at any moment you might see something totally unexpected.
One day you might see a coach in El Paso doing a handstand while coaching from third base, or you might see a pitcher lose two games for two different teams in one day.
Author Tim Hagerty, the radio voice of the El Paso Chihuahuas Minor League Baseball team, has seen a lot of it and has documented other similar surprising stories through the annals of minor league baseball.
His second book, “Tales from the Dugout: 1,001 Humorous, Inspirational & Wild Anecdotes from Minor League Baseball,” is a compilation of funny and unique events that have happened throughout the history of the minor leagues.
The book is also the next El Paso Matters Book Club selection.
