El Paso Matters – Has your family been affected by EPISD school closures? We’d like to hear from you.

Posted on July 21, 2025

El Paso Matters wants to hear from El Paso Independent School District families who have been affected by school closures.

Hundreds of EPISD students will transfer to new campuses in August after trustees in November voted to close eight elementary schools across the district due to declining enrollment. In May, after a new board was elected, trustees voted to keep Lamar Elementary School open.

Please fill out this short form and share your experience with school closures. If you prefer, contact reporter Claudia Lorena Silva directly at csilva@elpasomatters.org.

Please let us know by Friday, July 25. Thank you.
