The rental listing website uses U.S. Census Bureau data and lease transactions on its platform to calculate rent estimates, according to its methodology.
By comparison, the Census Bureau’s 2024 American Community Survey shows the median gross rent for an apartment with utilities included was $1,487 in 2024, the latest data available. The ACS median gross rent reflects all renter-occupied unit sizes.
In El Paso County, the median gross rent for an apartment in 2024 was estimated at $1,082, according to the same ACS dataset.
