Whether you’re celebrating Easter or the arrival of spring, there’s plenty of family-friendly events throughout the El Paso region this season, including the annual NorthEaster Parade, spring carnivals at city recreation centers – and more egg hunts than you can shake your bunny tail at.

SATURDAY, APRIL 5

Visit with the Easter Bunny at the Outlet Shoppes

Bring your own camera for photos with the Easter Bunny. Shopping, music, treats.

  • When: Noon-4 p.m. April 5, April 12-13 and April 19

Easter Fair at Bassett Place

Coloring pages, face painting, balloon animals, live bunnies to pet or adopt, vendors, music. Easter Bunny arrival.

Village of Vinton’s annual Easter Eggstravaganza

Games, crafts, face painting, music, inflatables, food trucks, vendors and raffles. Easter egg hunt for children 12 and younger.

  • When: 10 a.m.-1 p.m. April 5. Photos with Easter Bunny noon-1 p.m.; egg hunt registration begins at 10 a.m.; hunt begins at 11 a.m.

Eggstravaganza and Party for the Planet

The El Paso Zoo is hosting the family-friendly event with live entertainment, engaging zoo talks and interactive educational tables with hands-on activities as part of the Earth Day Celebration. Regular admission prices.

EPCSO Easter Egg Hunt: Lower Valley

The El Paso County Sheriff’s Office with El Paso County Commissioner Iliana Holguin are hosting an Easter egg hunt featuring food, games, music and free Easter basket giveaways while supplies last.

SUNDAY, APRIL 13

Sunday Market Spring Edition

The Kaleidoscope Art Market features egg hunt, vendors, food, live music, pictures with the Easter Bunny, basket giveaway.

SATURDAY, APRIL 19

47th Annual NorthEaster Parade

The Mimbela Family NorthEaster Parade features floats, marching bands, local organizations, music and dance performances. This year’s theme is “Traditional Easter” and the grand marshal is retired U.S. Army 1st Sgt. Dan Webb, founder of Veterans at Breakfast and a supporter of other veteran groups and organizations.

  • Where: Parade starts at intersection of Diana Drive and Hercules Avenue, goes north on Diana Drive and east on Hondo Pass Drive.

Easter Egg-Stravaganza Carnivals 

The city of El Paso’s Parks and Recreation Department is hosting spring carnivals with family-friendly activities, jumping balloons, games and arts and crafts for children of all ages April 18-19. Egg hunts and other activities will be held at designated times. Check Parks & Rec on Facebook for details. Free admission.

City of Socorro’s Easter Eggstravaganza & Color Run

The annual event returns with the walk/run race, a clown show, activities and an egg hunt. Race registration forms can be found here. Race starts at 8 a.m.; clown show at 11 a.m. and the egg hunt at noon.

EPCSO Easter Egg Hunt: East Montana

The El Paso County Sheriff’s Office with El Paso County Commissioner Jackie Butler are hosting an easter egg hunt featuring food, games, music and free Easter basket giveaways while supplies last.

Wine Tasting and Egg Hunt at Zin Valle

Easter egg hunt, a visit by the Easter bunny, wine tastings and sales, live music and food trucks. Find the special egg and win a bottle of wine. Live music 1-4 p.m. Bring your own blankets or chairs. Free admission.

Easter Egg Hunt at Soggy Peso

More than 5,000 hidden eggs and 10 golden eggs with hidden surprises for this family-friendly event. Food, drinks, DJ music.
