Julia Spencer of KFOX14 aired a report on a City audit of the Hotel Occupancy Tax dated March 6, 2025.
The audit identified 10 hotels that currently owe $1,121,530.45 in taxes, including penalties and interest. Of these, 9 have been referred to outside legal counsel to collect the past due balances.
The audit does not reveal which hotels have violated the law but KFOX14 has filed a public information request with the city to obtain the information.
