El Paso Taxpayer Revolt – CHIEF OPERATIONS OFFICER OF EPISD RESIGNS

Posted on July 10, 2025

[[{“value”:”

Stacy Pierson was appointed Chief Operations Officer of EPISD in September 2023 and worked alongside former Superintendent Diana Sayavedra until she was fired by the Board of Trustees this past June 3.

Today we called Mr. Pierson and he told us that on June 26 he tendered his letter of resignation to Martha Aguirre, the former CFO who was recently promoted to Interim Superintendent.

Today is Pierson’s last official day of work.

We feel certain that Mr. Pierson, who is an honorable man and a highly capable administrator, told Aguirre and his colleagues that it was a pleasure to work with them, a great opportunity and learning experience, etc.

However, it is obvious to anyone who has been following the drama at the school district that Pierson must have quit because of his unwillingness to suffer under the tyranny of Leah Hanany, an intransigent leftist idealogue on a mission to implement her woke agenda no matter what the cost.

Now that EPISD has lost Sayavedra, Westin, and Pierson, there is absolutely no one in the upper administration with the financial acumen and talent for managing such a large and complex operation.

At this point, we hope the Texas Education Agency will seize control of EPISD as soon as possible and save us from Hanany and the other vultures on the Board.
