El Paso Taxpayer Revolt – CITY COUNCIL VOTES 6-1 TO NOT APPOINT AN INTERIM CHIEF INTERNAL AUDITOR

Posted on August 8, 2025

[[{“value”:”

It is incredible but true. Our City currently has no Chief Internal Auditor now that Edmundo Calderon has retired.

The failure to replace him with an Interim Chief Internal Auditor means there is no one in charge of preventing the City from engaging in all manner of financial corruption.

Yup, Josh Acevedo, the dimmest bulb on City Council, put forth the proposal to skip hiring a temporary replacement.

Only Rep. Lily Limón voted against this corrupt neglection of duty, with Rep. Cynthia Boyar Trejo absent.

The City is sinking ever deeper into the swamp.
