New statistics show that El Paso County grew by only 948 people between 2023 and 2024, an increase of only 0.1%. That means that El Paso County had the slowest rate of population growth among the 10 most populous counties in Texas.
Citing new data from the U.S. Census Bureau, KXAN of Austin ran a comprehensive report stating that El Paso County “saw a net decrease in migration, meaning more people moved out than in. El Paso County still saw an overall population increase thanks to the number of births.”
Meanwhile, the latest statistics on the City’s population show a net decline of about 6,000 residents from 2017 to 2023.
