City Rep. Art Fierro of District 6 is running for reelection and our local Oligarchs have poured megabucks into his campaign to make sure he wins.
According to his 30-day campaign finance report, submitted a few hours ago, Fierro raked in $40,492 between July 1 and September 24, including $5,392 worth of in-kind contributions. The following are the monetary contributions of at least $1,000:

Randall J. Bowling (Tropicana Properties) $1,500
Robert Bowling (Tropicana Properties) $1,500
El Paso Electric Company Employee PAC $1,500
El Paso Municipal League Police Officers $2,000
Woody Hunt $2,500
Rogelio Lopez (ClearPath Home Inspections) $1,000
Liliana Miranda (WestStar Bank) $2,500
Joseph Moody $1,000

Socorro Rodriguez (?) $2,500
Michelle Rubio (?) $2,500
James Scherr $2,500
Douglas Schwartz $1,000
Kelly Tomblin (El Paso Electric) $1,500
We already reported that Fierro received $5,000 from Woody Hunt back in October 2023 and then another $2,500 from Hunt and $500 from Dee and Adair Margo this past August.
At this point we can confirm with 100% certainty that Art Fierro, who voted in early 2023 against the Arena and to terminate City Manager Tommy Gonzalez, has become a full-fledged member of the Vendido Caucus!
It is quite clear whom he will represent is reelected.
