A recent Facebook video from the struggling Renard Johnson campaign made us laugh.

Renard tells us the City has allocated only $7 million per year for streets but actually needs $40 million. He claims he cannot understand why a city with a $1.3 billion budget cannot find the funds.

We can answer that one…

Because the millionaires and billionaires supporting his campaign have sucked so much bond money out of the City for their pet projects that there is nothing left for street repair.

Got it?

The money the City is paying for debt service would be enough to build a road from here to Tierra del Fuego paved with Italian marble.

Voting for Renard to repair our streets would be like trusting Gassandra to fill your gas tank.
