Rep. Alejandra Chavez of City District 1 just sent a campaign text message to District 1 voters that is total and complete bullshit.
She omits that she voted for 11.5% in property tax increases in less than two years in office.
She omits any mention of the Debt Plaza, which is about as popular as the Black Death of 1348.
Her campaign contributions come primarily from Dee Margo, Steve Ortega, and a gaggle of developers along with their bankers and attorneys, who own her and control her votes.
She has no solution for the City’s bloated administration, its confiscatory taxes, and its third-world streets.
Chavez represents everything that is wrong with the City of El Paso and it is imperative that Sam Armijo defeats her on November 3!

Together, we’ve made real progress:
✓ Opposed the highest proposed tax rate
✓ Fought utility rate increases through formal City intervention
✓ Moved long-awaited infrastructure projects forward
✓ Invested in public safety and safer neighborhoods
✓ Improved parks, trails and quality of life across District 1
There is still more work to do. I’m running for re-election to keep affordability front & center, continue this progress, and keep District 1 moving forward.
