El Paso Taxpayer Revolt – VINCE PEREZ VOTED FOR 21.6% SALARY HIKE WHILE ON THE COMMISSIONERS COURT, RUNNING FOR STATE OFFICE

Posted on February 3, 2024

There has been a major outcry about the 16.2% salary increase that the El Paso County Commissioners Court voted themselves this past August 28, with only Commissioner Holguin dissenting.

But let’s not forget that in 2019, the Commissioners Court voted for an even bigger salary increase, from $93,748 for a County County Commissioner to $114,901, a 22.6% raise!

Vince Perez was among those who voted to enrich himself.

The voters punished him less than one year later, throwing him out of office in the Primary Runoff Election of July 14, 2020.

Of course, he had been embroiled in several scandals in the course of his political career that are well documented.

Now Perez is back, running for Texas House District 77 against Norma Chavez and Alexsandra Annello.

The Oligarchs are backing him financially because if he wins he will do whatever they command, just as he did when he was a County Commissioner.

We are hopeful that Norma Chavez, who has the most fiscally conservative campaign platform, will win the March 5 Primary.
