KTSM News – 1 dead after crash involving pedestrian, commercial vehicle in far East El Paso

EL PASO, Texas (KTSM) — A person is dead after a crash involving a commercial vehicle and a pedestrian Thursday morning, May 16 in far East El Paso.

The El Paso County Sheriff’s Office says at around 4:30 a.m., deputies were dispatched to the 14000 block of Montana Avenue in reference to a crash involving a commercial motor vehicle and a pedestrian with serious injuries.

However, our crews are currently at the scene and confirm a person appears to be dead.

Special traffic investigators have been called out to the scene and the investigation is still ongoing, according to the Sheriff’s Office.

The Sheriff’s Office says all eastbound traffic on Montana is being rerouted from Krag St. to Buntline.

No further information has been released at this time. This story will be updated once we learn more.
