EL PASO, Texas (KTSM) — A person is dead following an officer-involved shooting Friday afternoon, Aug. 23, in East El Paso.
Police sent out an alert to media at around 3:30 p.m. Friday saying the Crimes Against Persons Unit is responding to Larry Wadkins and Vista Del Sol to investigate an officer-involved shooting.
Our crews are at the scene and can confirm a person has died at the scene.
El Paso Fire Department spokesperson Enrique Duenas also says that EMS responded to reports of a shooting, but there were no transports.
