EL PASO, Texas (KTSM) — A person suffered minor injuries after a house fire in Las Cruces on Sunday morning, Feb. 4, according to the Las Cruces Fire Department.
The Fire Department says at around 11:30 a.m. that Sunday, firefighters were dispatched to a report of a fire on the 1200 block of Bellamah Circle in Las Cruces.
Firefighters arrived to find part of the home burning and a detached shed. Firefighters deployed multiple lines and searched the home for occupants, according to the Fire Department.
The fire was brought under control within 12 minutes and the search had determined that all occupants had exited the home, according to the Fire Department.
The homeowners were unaware of the fire and were alerted by a neighbor who told them to exit the home, according to the Fire Department.
The Fire Department says one of the occupants of the home suffered minor injuries which were taken care of by fire personnel and the individual did not require hospitilaztion.
“The cause of the fire remains under investigation and damage estimates have yet to be determined,” the Fire Department said.
