EL PASO, Texas (KTSM) — One person is dead in a crash involving a pedestrian and vehicle Sunday morning, Oct. 20 in far West El Paso, El Paso police said.
The crash happened at 6501 South Desert Blvd. near Artcraft, police said. Police sent out an alert to media about the crash at about 7:30 a.m. but didn’t say the exact time of the incident.
Fire dispatch said the call came in at 5:30 a.m. but did not have any other details.
Police did not say who was killed in the crash or what led up to it. They did say that Special Traffic Investigations, which looks into serious or fatal crashes, were on the scene.
TxDOT says all lanes of traffic along South Desert are closed before Artcraft. Clearing time is until further notice.
