KTSM News – 179 arrests made during multi-agency effort led by El Paso County Sheriff’s Office

EL PASO, Texas (KTSM) — The El Paso County Sheriff’s Office said it arrested 179 people and executed 234 warrants with help from multiple other law-enforcement agencies in a two-pronged initiative.

A Warrant Roundup was held from July 28 to Aug. 1, following an amnesty period from July 21-28.

During the amnesty period, 50 individuals were taken into custody and 56 warrants were executed.

Below are mugshots and charges that were provided by the Sheriff’s Office.

The field operation that followed led to the arrest of 129 individuals and the execution of 178 warrants.

Charges ranged from aggravated robbery, aggravated sexual assault of a child, assault  on a peace officer to continuous family violence, drug trafficking, driving while intoxicated,  theft, criminal mischief, forgery, and exploitation of the elderly.

“This effort reflects our continued commitment to protecting our community by ensuring  individuals with outstanding warrants are located and brought into custody,” Sheriff Oscar Ugarte said. “We are grateful to our local and state law enforcement partners for their support and teamwork throughout this operation.”
