EL PASO, Texas (KTSM) — The War Eagles Air Museum in Santa Teresa, New Mexico, will be hosting the Commemorative Air Force’s Arizona Wing in April as it kicks off its Flying Legends Victory Tour.
The tour will visit 23 cities around the country and Canada this year, including its first visit to the East Coast since 2020.
The El Paso area is the tour’s first stop.
The tour is scheduled to include two iconic World War II bombers — B-17 Sentimental Journey and B-25 Maid in the Shade.
The stop in the Borderland will be from Thursday, April 25 through Sunday, April 28 with the planes departing on Monday, April 29.
Plane tours will be available on that Thursday through Sunday and “living history experience” flights will available for purchase on that Friday through Sunday.

The B-17 Flying Fortress Sentimental Journey is one of only four currently flying in the world out of more than 12,000 manufactured during World War II, according to the news release sent out announcing the visit.
The B-25, meanwhile, was one of the best weapons and one of the most versatile aircraft used in World War II, according to the news release.
The Made in the Shade B-25 that will be visiting flew 15 combat missions over Italy and Yugoslavia during World War II, according to the news release.
