Posted on September 22, 2024

EL PASO, Texas (KTSM) — You can celebrate Mexican-American culture and traditions at the 20th anniversary of Lincoln Park Day.

The event will be from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Sunday, Sept. 22, at 4001 Durazno St.

According to the itinerary, the event features performances of Procession de Matachine and Danza Azteca Omecoatl, live music from the 96 Proof band and a lowrider car show.

The event also unveils a new art piece by local artist Gabriel S. Gaytán, “Nantli,” a mural of Dolores Huerta, a well-known Chicano activist who helped found the United Farm Workers union with César Chavez back in 1966.

In addition, there will be a special 20th remembrance presentation for Leopoldo Rivera by the El Paso Lowrider Association, before the lowrider car show.
