EL PASO, Texas (KTSM) — A 21-year-old man was taken into custody after El Paso Police’s SWAT Team responded to a barricaded subject late Monday night, Sept. 29, in the Lower Valley, El Paso Police Detective Judy Oviedo said.
Oviedo said they responded at around 9:45 p.m. to 815 Burgundy to a report of a man with a weapon.
When officers arrived, the man barricaded himself in his home, Oviedo said.
Oviedo said El Paso Police’s SWAT Team responded and took the man into custody.
Oviedo said there was a prior incident at the same location that investigators are looking into. No further information has been released. The incident remains under investigation.
