EL PASO, Texas (KTSM) — Four El Paso restaurants were recognized in the Texas Monthly’s “Top 50 Best Taco Restaurants in Texas.”
According to a news release by Destination El Paso, the ranking list highlights restaurants across Texas to “savor authentic, innovative tacos, and this year’s list has placed El Paso on the map, showcasing the city’s growing influence in Texas cuisine.”
The following restaurants were a part of the list:
Elemi
Located at 13500 Eastlake Blvd., the local restaurant ranked No. 2 and is “known for its dedication to traditional Mexican flavors with a modern twist, Elemi has gained widespread acclaim for its commitment to locally sourced ingredients and its mastery of heirloom corn tortillas,” Destination El Paso said.
Taqueria El Tiger
Located at 3900 Rosa Ave., the restaurant ranked No. 5 and is “honored for its bold flavors and authentic approach to street-style tacos,” Destination El Paso said.
Taconeta
Located at 311 Montana Ave., the restaurant ranked No. 6 and is “a contemporary taquería with a reputation for offering a dining experience that celebrates the heritage of Mexican cuisine with innovative and gourmet tacos,” Destination El Paso said.
El Botanero Mariscos
Located at 13468 Eastlake Blvd., the restaurant received an honorable mention for its selection of ceviche tacos.
