KTSM News – 5 injured after ‘officer-involved’ crash on I-10 West near Copia

EL PASO, Texas (KTSM) — Five people were injured after an officer-involved crash Monday afternoon, July 7, on I-10 West at Copia, according to a spokesperson with the El Paso Fire Department.

The spokesperson says the incident involved an officer, and four people were transported with minor injuries, and one person was transported with serious injuries.

Police say the call came in just after 1 p.m.

TxDOT is currently reporting that all lanes are closed on I-10 West at Raynolds due to the crash.

Traffic is being detoured at Raynolds Exit 23A. Traffic is backed up on Gateway West towards Paisano.

Clearing time is until further notice, TxDOT said.

No further information has been released. We’re working on gathering more information on this crash.
