EL PASO, Texas (KTSM) — Six members of the El Paso Fire Department’s Water Rescue Team have been deployed to Central Texas to assist with rescue operations amid the extreme flooding.
In a video posted on social media, the team is seen assisting two victims who were clinging to a tree in dangerous floodwaters and bringing them to safety in Marble Falls. Marble Falls is in Burnet County.
According to El Paso Fire on their Instagram, the six Water Rescue members are a part of Texas Task Force 1 and are working with numerous other agencies.
“Our hearts go out to all of the communities in Central Texas affected by this devastating flooding. We are honored to support the response efforts and hope to make a meaningful impact,” read the Instagram post.
