EL PASO, Texas (KTSM) — Six people were injured in a two-vehicle crash that has closed part of U.S. 54 South in Northeast El Paso.
The crash happened at U.S. 54 at Transmountain at about 12:45 p.m. One person was transported to the hospital with serious injuries (Code 3) and five were transported with minor injuries (Code 1).
All lanes are currently closed on U.S. 54 South at Transmountain due to the crash, according to TxDOT.
TxDOT says traffic is backed up to Sun Valley and clearing time is until further notice.
TxDOT initially reported the left lane was closed in the area with minor backup.
