EL PASO, Texas (KTSM) – The Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT) El Paso has released a list of road closures for Dec. 3, which could affect your commute.
As part of this week’s closure there will be a significant 60-hour closure at Eastbound I-10 at Vinton Road. Check the details below.
I-10 Widening West
60-hour closure:
Monday, December 4, at 9 p.m., through Thursday, December 7, at 9 a.m.
Eastbound I-10 will be closed to all traffic at Vinton Road.
DETOUR: Take Exit 2 (Spur 37/Vinton Road/Westway Drive), continue on South Desert Boulevard, and re-enter I-10 before Redd Road.
Crews will be pouring two new concrete bridge decks and allowing them to cure.
Beginning Monday, December 4, at 9 p.m.
The temporary on-ramp from South Desert Boulevard to eastbound I-10 near Canutillo High School will close permanently.
DETOUR: Continue on South Desert Boulevard to the temporary on-ramp near Redd Road.
Crews will begin construction of a new temporary off-ramp.
Guardrail Repair Project
Monday, December 4 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Gateway East at Hawkins on-ramp closed.
Loop 375 (Border Highway) westbound between Fonseca and US-54 right lane closed.
Tuesday, December 5 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
I-10 westbound between Schuster and Executive right lane and Executive exit ramp closed.
Wednesday, December 6 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Loop 375 (Transmountain) eastbound between Mile Marker 19 and Wilderness Museum left lane closed.
Thursday, December 7 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Loop 375 (Transmountain) eastbound between Mile Marker 20 and one mile east of Main Gap right lane closed.
Loop 375 (Transmountain) westbound between Paseo Del Norte and Resler left lane closed.
Crews will be repairing guardrail.
Spall Repair Project
Sunday, December 3 from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m.
I-10 eastbound between Sunland Park and Executive three right lanes and Sunland Park on-ramp closed.
Monday, December 4 and Tuesday, December 5 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Gateway north and south at Fred Wilson intersection alternate lane closures.
Wednesday, December 6 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
I-10 at Gateway east after Hawkins intersection two left lanes and turnaround from north to south closed.
Thursday, December 7 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
I-10 at Gateway east before Airway intersection two right lanes closed.
Crews will be repairing spall.
Bridge Joint Cleaning
Monday, December 4 through Friday, December 8 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Spur 6 between Doniphan and FM-1905 alternate lane closures.
Crews will be cleaning bridge joints.
North Mesa Street Rehabilitation Project
Monday, December 4 and Friday, December 8 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Mesa (SH-20) north and southbound between Sunland Park and Camille alternate lane closures.
Crews will be repairing curbs and concrete work.
Mesa (SH-20) north and southbound between Sunland Park and Camille rolling lane closure.
Crews will be striping.
North Mesa Street Lighting Improvement Project
Monday, December 4 through Friday, December 8 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Mesa (SH-20) north and southbound between I-10 and Doniphan alternate lane closures.
Mesa (SH-20) north and southbound between East Baltimore/Glory Road and Sunland Park alternate right lane closures.
Crews will be boring for electrical conduit, pouring drill shaft foundations, and potholing.
Traffic Signal Improvements Project
Monday, December 4 through Friday, December 8 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Mesa (SH-20) north and southbound at Resler intersection alternate lane closures.
Montana (US-62) east and westbound at McRae intersection right lane closed.
Spur 601 at Loop 375 intersection right shoulder closed.
Crews will be boring for electrical conduit, placing ground boxes, and intercession safety.

Thursday, December 7. Overnight, from 9 p.m. until 5 a.m.

Crews will be removing concrete barriers.
Loop 375 Widening Project

Americas Avenue (frontage road) north to southbound turnaround at North Loop Road will be closed.
Crews will be working on removing/installing utility structures (girder placement) at UPRR Bridge.

Americas Highway (Loop 375) southbound main lane closure between North Loop Overpass and Zaragoza (POE) Overpass.
