EL PASO, Texas (KTSM) — A 747 airliner, with no passengers or cargo, has been conducting an engine test on Tuesday afternoon, June 10 near the Doña Ana County International Jetport in Santa Teresa, New Mexico, the airport manager there said.
Airport Manager Bill Provance said the airplane originated from Tucson, Arizona and was testing a Rolls Royce engine. It was doing low approaches and go-arounds near the airport, he added.
Provance said it as not an emergency situation and was all pre-planned to test an engine.
The airplane will be back again on Thursday for more engine tests, he added.
