EL PASO, Texas (KTSM) — A 77-year-old man has been arrested for allegedly stealing an all-terrain vehicle last month in Montana Vista, according to the El Paso County Sheriff’s Office.
On Sept. 11, deputies responded to the 4000 block of O’Leary in Montana Vista, regarding a reported stolen all-terrain vehicle.
During the investigation, deputies located the stolen ATV at a property in the 15000 block of Hope Road, also in the Montana Vista area.
Detectives from the Criminal Investigations Unit assumed the case and conducted follow-up investigative work. During the investigation, detectives identified 77-year-old Daiv Kawika Sundown as the suspect responsible for the theft, and an arrest warrant was obtained.
On Thursday, Oct. 9, detectives found and arrested Sundown without incident.
He was booked into the El Paso County Detention Facility on one count of theft of property under $2,500, with bond set at $5,000.
